These Binatone walkie Talkies are excellent. The range is great, the signal is really clear, they are great for little hands, easy for kids to use and an added bonus is they come with their own rechargeable cradle, so no batteries to keep replacing. They are lightweight, Sturdy and an all round excellent item. I would highly recommend these, to anybody who is thinking of buying their kids a set of walkie talkies

The range is not 5 km definitely because I have tried it out in an open field In 500 acres of land does not give 5 km range at all Doesn't have headphones option as describe on the box It's like a copy product now I know not to buy this brand again

I bought these walkie talkies to keep in touch with some friends that we are meeting on board a cruise ship in February. The "phones" arrived very quickly and I have tried them out. They work very well, although the claimed coverage of 3 kilometers is I think rather optomistic. However, I'm not expecting to need them to cover such a distance. I don't know yet whether they will work in the interior parts of the ship, I doubt that they will, but they should be ok on deck or to find our friends when we go ashore. They would probably be very good for keeping tabs on ones kids when they're out playing and of course, unlike mobile phones are free to call. Anyway, I only bought them for a bit of fun on holiday. The price was excellent and so represent good value for money
I bought these little beauties for use at home. My elderly Mum had just moved in with us and shes disabled, so she spends a lot of time in her room, got her a bell to start with, you can imagine where that ended up!! Seriously though I bought these walkies and off we went, Mum can contact me where ever I am in the house and they are really simple to use, even for a 82 year old technophobe!! Ideal for short range, you may need to find a channel thats not being used by the local taxi rank, but other than that superb to use and very reliable....
Two years ago I bought one pair (at double the price). Used to communicate around the farm. Visiting friends at Christmas they told me a story of the husband (who is over 80) taking the dogs for a walk, had slipped over and couldn't get up. The dogs returned home without him and it was an hour before his wife went looking for him. I bought them a pair of these PMRs on Ebay this time, as a post-Christmas present. The wife told me he took great delight in setting them up. He said the instructions were 'very clear', and he went for a walk and when furthest from home, called his wife - 'loud and clear'. I am certainly in their good books now! Then I bought another pair for my workshop. We keep them all plugged into the chargers switched on 24/7. I did check with the supplier that they came with the dual charger as it did not specifically state this in the advert and I could not believe the good price (as they were identical to the first ones). They say they are refurbished but they looked new to me and work perfectly, So I then bought another pair for my own use. Excellent purchase.Read full review
